Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man | No One Is Too Far Gone

In Luke 8:26–39, Jesus crosses the Sea of Galilee and comes face to face with a man whose life has been completely devastated by evil. He is isolated, tormented, living among the tombs, and beyond anyone else’s ability to help.

But he is not beyond Jesus.

The demons immediately recognize who Jesus is and know they are completely under His authority. With a word, Jesus sets the man free and begins restoring everything darkness had taken from him.

This story reminds us that there is no place sin can take us that Jesus is unwilling to go. No darkness intimidates Him. No chain is too strong. No one is too far gone.

And when Jesus changes our lives, our assignment is often much simpler than we make it: tell people what God has done for you.
