The Early Church Was Pro-Life
Jul 14, 2024 • Ken May
What does it really mean to be "pro-life"? In the ancient Roman world, unwanted children were routinely abandoned, discarded, or sold into slavery. It was the early Christians who stepped in, rescuing these vulnerable children and raising them as their own because they believed every human is made in the image of God. In this message, we ground our understanding of human value in the story of Hagar—the pregnant, desperate slave who discovered that God is "the God who sees me". Join us as we explore how a fiercely pro-life faith cares for both the unborn and the vulnerable, carrying the same heart as the God who sees and hears us in our misery.
